UPS brought me a Polish Plenum today

I ordered the thing two months back and waited impatiently all this time. ;^) But it finally did arrive.

I wasted no time tearing the gun down and installing the plenum. It was a fairly straight forward install but when I was done I charged it with air before I put the barrel on. I actually could not get the barrel on. So, after draining the air, I loosened everything up tweaked/twisted the gun a bit and then tightened everything back up a bit tighter and installed the barrel before I charged it with air this time. Another successful mod with no leaks! It is quite a bit better now but changing barrels would not be easy while the gun is charged up cuz things is pretty tight. Still I think it could be done now anyway.

EDIT Not sure exactly what happened but the barrel goes on and off quite easy now.

Will have to wait a few days to test it as my daughter is flying in tomorrow and will be with me for a few days.

So, anyone else having barrel changing troubles after an FX Power Plenum or the Polish one?

Tear it up! Had to trim the back of the Ergo grip a bit so it would not interfere.

Back together and looking good.

I found that before airing it up i put the barrel back in to double check alignment with everything. The plenum can be twisted and tweaked to make sure the gap between the plenum and barrel is perfect but only before the air hits it of course. Once filled cant move anything.

Enjoy! I love mine

Before airing up or tightening anything, stick the barrel in and pull down a little on the plenum as you move it side to side just a little front and rear. This makes it easy to find center at both ends and get maximum gap between the plenum and barrel. You can watch the gap as you do it and tighten everything with the gap at it's maximum. You made the best choice for power and tunability.

I wrote an email to the Polish guy an no reply yet. Do you know if it takes time to respond or do you recommend I should send another email.... I just hate to look like a pain in the back

He's just really busy. You could call him around 9am his time.

To anyone who wants to buy the Polish plenum, avoid scammers trying to sell you one for $400 + 250 installation. Buy directly from Michal in Poland for $150 shipped and install it yourself. If you need free help installing it just PM me here.

The Polish plenum is produced in a very inaccurate manner,on an old carving machine.

Linear dimensions are inaccurate.

The diameter of the plenum is also carrot-shaped.

In my opinion, it produces not responsibly!

I found mine to be concentric with less than .001 change in diameter per it's entire length. So the machine werq seems to be quite accurate. Nothing wrong with an old lathe when it is adjusted properly. I could not say for sure but possibly he had some growing pains in the beginning until he figured it all out? If that is the case I think he has it figured out well now.
