You are most welcome, I would just dry fire it to empty, does no harm...Taking the pickle off required some serious work with a Dremel, good luck and Happy 2019...
It wasn't too bad getting it off, the first 90% came off in the first couple minutes with a large PVC cutter and some tin snips.
Then I was left with what you see here and I took the Dremel cut off wheel and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. After the plastic or whatever it is cooled it gets brittle. If you cut a line on opposite sides it will be easier to snap it off by inserting first a putty knife blade and then screw drivers. the hardest part to get off was the very back part.
Then I cut some 1/2 x 20 threads right over the splines that were on the end of the barrel.
The back end of my v2 Emperor screwed right on and then the I screwed on the whole thing.
Looking down the barrel with a light at the breech it looks like it is not quite centered but it might just make it without clipping. If it does catch the end cap or accuracy is not what it should be I have .35 call end cap I can put on to solve that problem. Now I will check with Donny and see if we can adapt a short shroud somehow.
Sounds like a fun and economical way to play with a gun. And a good one. Would be interesting to set the reg way low and use it for inside barn shooting.
When I first installed the reg, I had it around 115 -120 and dialed out the hammer spring tension, can't remember how many shots but it was pretty efficient...Could not believe how many shots I was getting , kept on checking air gauge
Hi Mat, unfortunately not its purely a hobby I was in the same boat as you and decided to have a go myself, learned a lot in the process and am now glad I did...
A little low on power to get the best out of slugs but yes I have shot some NSA slugs with ok results 20.2, 21 and 23 grain, went back to pellets as its a 30-40 yard gun with 14-16 grain pellets, best accuracy...
