1/2 UNF adaptor over barrel cut down end of barrel 1/2 inch to allow good fit and add this baffle system to it:

https://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Crosman_NP214_001_Trail_Baffle/7784 - Note the end fits perfectly into the Carbo Fiber tube and seals the end, the inner section has an Oring groove, you need to put one on and drill some holes in the top of the channels made for air to allow the air to flow backwards into the shroud as the 1/2 unf adaptor blocks these natural holes...

Carbon fiber tube:

End cap bored out to fit over barrel close to breech, this is bored out to fit barrel OD and rests up against a smaller 16mm (I believe) ID carbon fiber sleeve that fits up against the block, this holds the shroud in position, of course I have four drilled holes towards rear in shroud to allow air to come backwards

Hope this helps

I appreciated your DIY. My Urban looks great! However, it's now louder shooting 18.1gr JSBs than it was before w/ the 'pickle'. I started down this path because I don't believe mine was backyard friendly...

  • Measured w/ JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.1gr .22
  • Original pickle: 99.6db
  • No LDC: 112.3db wow, she's LOUD!
  • Carbon shroud w/ Crossman internal baffle: 103.7db

My UNF adapter is beveled up front and allows air from the baffle to flow back into the shroud. I tried wrapping foam around the baffle, inside the shroud, and that made it 2db louder!? 4 small holes drilled in the back of the baffle to allow air flow. Do I try turning down the power to make it quieter? I don't need to shoot any farther than 30meters...

I don't mind spending big money on a DonnyFL, but I've seen tests on youtube showing 97.8db using the Ronin on another PCP. That's not quiet enough for me...

Thoughts anyone? How do I quiet this Urban down?

I drilled holes in the back of the crossman baffle where it joins the 1/2 unf adaptor to allow more air to flow backwards and drilled 6 holes (3 on each side) of the shroud closest to the breach to allow more air to move backwards, I also cut magic eraser sponges in donut shapes to fit over the barrel and within the shroud, added to that the Crossman baffle is tightly wrapped with a single felt layer before sliding into shroud. mine is very quiet...
