Sure you can buy a low dollar rifle and fix it up but by the time your done you'll have the same $2,000 into it ..... or
I did read your purchase post , and then saw one at wallymart but more $ so it stayed.
Now you go and post results after your extensive tuning ( taped barrel for rigidity , LOL . It did work right?) . Darn budget mined airgun enablers.

pretty darn good groups. That rig to me represents many of the best attributes of airguns. Low cost, safe(r) to shoot in most areas, would put food on the table, is fun for all to use.

A couple pics. I "borrowed" an idea from the old Diana rifles that allows standing in a corner without the dreaded "slide-out".

I have a Daisy 880 also. It's a good shooter and dispatched many chipmunks! I just got tired of pumping 10 times every time! So. I got a break barrel in .22, much better, one cock load and shoot! That's just me! My two cents!
