I can not find much info on this gun! When I look @ all the sellers of this gun, they have them listed back order. Is UMEREX having problems with them?

Why do you want the 50 cal hammer? They said 3 years ago it was gonna be released. And it still hasn't.. dont get your hopes up. I'm sure they given up on the hammer now. Do you want the hammer for its 700 ft lb energy? Cause there is already the texan cf bottle that will produce over 700 ft lb and it's already out. Also hatsan is coming with a 700 and a 800 ft lb 45 cal and 50 cal gun. Keep waiting on the hammer. I'm sure it be out by 2050.

The Hammer has become an albatross around the neck of Umarex, it would seem. It started out as a pump-action, then changed to a bolt-type action. The expected release date has been bumped back several times. In typical Umarex fashion, they have been very tight-lipped about the problems they are having. Some suspect that the Chinese production quality is the issue, and others have suspected design issues or flaws. Personally, I think they are having trouble making the rifle at the price they promised. The marketing people definitely got way too far ahead of themselves with all the publicity, which got a lot of people fired up and wanting a Hammer. Based on the release date that Umarex gave them, the sellers started taking pre-orders. Now they are caught in the middle, but only because they bought into the hype. If you want more information, check out Youtube and search for videos on the Hammer. Take what you see and hear with a grain of salt. After all, it's still not in production yet.

Hatsan has produced a Dandy! It should be available soon and has close to 800 fpe (possibly higher) in .50
Umarex should release the hammer about the same time as GM starts shipping it's flying cars to dealerships. (Although I believe Rossi M. is already driving one.)

Smart business is to make sure your product has no issues! even if it means holding back on the release. In the process @ times one also discovers some positive changes can be made to improve it. This happens in all industry. I am also a big online gamer & ran into this exact scenario. This was one of the biggest publishers in gaming. By the time they finished pushing the release date back, 2 years passed before it finally released. They wanted to make sure it was right before release and in fact added content that also needed to be right. In the end we received more bang for the buck. It paid to wait. I am also retired from Managing Motorsports Dealerships, this happens often in this industry also.

Actually the Hammer is not made anywhere YET! After 3 years of delays I doubt it ever will be!

Umarex USA has announced that the.50 caliber Umarex Hammer will start shipping in March 2019. The Hammer was conceived, designed and engineered in America and is being built in the U.S.A. Its production assembly is taking place in Fort Smith, Arkansas within the facility of Umarex USA and is set to begin in March 2019. Many are in the field as we speak. I have no idea where you received your info from!!! It was only introduced 10 months ago.

This Gun was a prototype. SHOTSHOW 2019 was the first public viewing of the gun! There is a lot of paperwork involved with getting it patten -pending! this is only one of many hoops they have clear to protect themselves & legally sell it. MADE IN USA, & the only Big Bore repeater are 2 good reasons to wait it out.

The hammer was at shot show 2017. If it's there this time it will be the 4th shot show. It has changed everytime. It was originally a pump to cock. Then it was normal cocking lever. Was a 3 shot and now it seems to be a 2 shot mag.
Just do a search and there are hunting videos that date back. Wasn't hard to find out it was at shot show 2017 either.

2017 prototype!!! This happens all the time, in all industry. This is a tactic to stir interest & feel out the market. NO MENTION ABOUT PRODUCTION OR RELEASE! March 2019 was first release date.

They tried to make a $700, 700 fpe gun. The cheap components were breaking under that kind of stress, the valve mostly was the issue from what I heard. They are trying to keep the price and the specs the same, but it is harder than they expected. Just what I heard...

hmmm, makes sense. I would have paid $1000 -1200 for a well made version. Now that the Zeus is coming out, i am over the Hammer

You obviously haven't been around very long. They were pre selling it in 2017 for late 2017. The post was in October of 2018 and said pyramid stopped giving available dates. Maybe you should do a little more research. I have been around and know how long its been.
Shot against one in June at RMC. Was sad how poor it did. I was shooting a 50 cal also so it was not the caliber.
