Umarex morph trigger pull are all CO2 like that?

So my first CO2 experience happened to be with the umarex morph. I bought this gun because it was unique.

Things that I didn't like about it are...

First and foremost the trigger is ridiculous. It is an extremely long double action trigger. probably the longest in the hardest amount of full that I've ever had to use on any trigger. My primary question is is this typical of all CO2 rifles?

I noticed while pulling the trigger it seems to serve also as a type of action loading the BB's midpoint during the pull as well if I'm not mistaken. There's an inconsistency sometimes at times the trigger is a little bit better and easier to pull.

Another thing that I kind of don't like is the plastic that is used to assemble to make this into a rifle isn't of the same quality as the plastic on the pistol. It looks quite a bit cheaper.

the full length of rail on top is a nice touch except for the fact that being plastic near the middle a kind of bows and slightly right where the long rifle support comes in. this makes for an overall an attractive presentation and you can't help but notice it because when you line up the iron sights you're looking straight down that long rail.

I also would have liked to see the rail on the rifle support portion near the bottom. Once in rifle mode the bottom rail on the pistol has to be used to mount a rifle guard.

And just a personal preference I would have almost prefer an Allen type screw to hold down the seal cartridge rather than the strange looking circular disc. it kind of gets in the way if you don't have it flipped in the right direction when they're removing the piece of plastic to load a CO2.

I ended up not paying a whole lot for this. To ship it back would net me about $20. I may try to sell it on eBay. I got it for $45 $10 of that was shipping. And Umarex a 15% restick I mean restocking fee. I wish I had read that before purchasing. that will probably prevent me from purchasing another product from Umarex directly.

In all fairness I haven't contacted them. To see if maybe an upgrade was possible. All the YouTube videos seem so convincing.

I may start my own YouTube are going to review channel. But I won't review New air guns. I will review them after I've broken them in and well accustomed to them and have found all their little niches.

MAN I TYPED A FULL PAGE HERE AND ITS NOW GONE. WHAT HAPPENED? GO BUY A $50 CROSMAN VIGILANTE OR SPECIFICALLY $50 CR357 THEN SHOOT ONLY PELLETS THROUGH THEM YOU'LL BE FINE. DIME TO NICKLE SIZED GROUPS AT 10 YARDS. NEVER SHOOT BBs THROUGH THEM. BBs WILL RUIN YOUR BARREL. YOU'D HAVE TO SPEND AROUND $200 OR MORE IN ORDER TO GET ANY BETTER ACCURACY THAN THESE CROSMANS. IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS I SAY BUY THE UMAREX S&W 586 OR 686 OR FULL SIZE DESERT EAGLE OR WALTHER CP88 COMPETITION LONG BARREL EDITION IF YOU WANT ANY BETTER THAN THE CROSMANS IN REPLICA CO2 GUNS. YOU NAME IT I PRETTY MUCH COLLECTED THEM ALL AND I CAN TELL YOU THAT MOST ARE CRAPPY WHEN IT COMES TO ACCURACY LIKE OVER 1 TO 2 INCHES OR MORE OR WORSE AT 10 YARDS. REALLY COOL REPLICAS THOUGH. Yo!

Hmmm the vigilante has the rifled barrel which is a huge plus almost a requirement for real accuracy in my opinion. However it's plastic and non adjustable sights.

The cr is all metal which is cool but a smooth barrel it also takes those cool looking faux bullets.

Something to think about. Crossman 2240 is cool reminds me of a Lugar. I was thinking about that one but it's single shot and though the bolt action is cool it would also be awkward for right handed shooters. since a rifle is more stable laying on the ground or on a bench rest it is easier to access that bolt with your right hand while the rifles in a stable position. I really like the bolt-action style rifles eventually I'll get the right one. Like a replica of the Molson nagat.

Money is always an issue so I try to go as cheap as possible but accuracy is a must it's no fun to have a gun that shoots one in groups at 10 meters.

Seems like all these guns have their advantages and disadvantages.

Put a cheap red dot sight on it. I went through 7 of them just to see if there were any major differences in accuracy and kept 4. All 7 could repeatedly hit a quarter at 10 yards and 3 could hit a nickel and 2 could hit a dime one smaller than a dime and a freak of nature thats almost like a match pistol. Then a used one popped up on another site classifieds for $40 I asked the seller why so much since a new one cost $50 that's only $10 off and SHE over the phone told me it was ridiculously accurate and used it to plink at grasshoppers at 15-20 yards no misses all day long just need the money and really hated to have to part with it. I bought it and DAMN that's just like my most accurate one I have. If you can someday buy 10 and keep the 2 most accurate ones and sell 8 that's the very reason why I buy many multiples of the exact same gun in the same calibers. What really screws me up is if all shoot exactly the same. Yo!

That's not a bad idea at all. For sure the morph will be up for sale.

I kinda had the same idea with the Hatsan rifles except I absolutely love each one and just ended up justifying the whole thing by saying well the parts all interchange except the calibers. A did get 2 of the .177 since I use it the most I figured better get 2.

But yeah i wanted to make sure in this case I got the most accurate and power full caliber of edge rifle. Like I said I ended up loving them all for different reasons.

I do the same with cars. I have 5 in the driveway now. I only have used one of them in 4 years but I feel better knowing it's there.

Oh crap am I a Horder?

To answer your question on the trigger, it's a double action setup.

The extra force you're putting into pulling the trigger is being used to cock the gun, and is also working whatever is setup mechanically to feed the next BB.

It's the same thing that happens in a double action revolver, but in this case it's hidden inside the gun so you don't see the hammer going back or next shot getting loaded.

So, like like a single action revolver that you have to cock before firing, an CO2 gun that you have to manually cock or bleeds off some of the air to cock it between shots, will have a much lighter trigger.
