Umarex hammer vs Benjamin bulldog

I ran a snake through it once before I brought it...

This is the email I wrote to mr Hp.

Just so for ease of things....

"So, I just wanted to take the time to write this as I do feel credit is due.

I spent 4 hours at the range with my Umarex Hammer yesterday. I fired 4 different "manufacturers" ammunition.

Yours seem to come out to .512 and are much softer
Manufacturer 1 .509/.510 (< barely)
Manufacturer 2 .5097 ish
Manufacturer 3 was the same as 2

All were similar in weight , all shot at over 3000 psi for full power shots.

During my testing yesterday.....I got angry, very angry, I almost even tossed the hammer. Shooting at a 4x4 piece of plywood with two 12 inch targets at the top, I couldnt even hit the paper targets @ 25 yards! the rounds were everywhere, thought it was my optics, then the rifle, nope, it was the rounds

Did some more testing, fired manufacturer 1, then fired yours, fired manufacturer 2 , then yours, fired manufacturer 3, then yours...... while number 3s rounds were leaps and bounds ahead of the other two, yours were leaps and bounds ahead of number 3s ammo.

Moved out to 50 yards and then 75..... Yours were the only rounds that went where I pointed the rifle, consistent every time, no differentiation and brought faith back into my day."

What do you use to clean yours? Always looking for tips. I just have a snake.

i bet he likes that !!!

i ran about 10 patches thru mine with crown-saver & ballistol before i got the junk out !!

it didnt look to be lead fouled, more like some kind of preservative.

i read somewhere that the barrels are from germany...lothar/walther maybe ??

that would explain the preservative.

If its shelf life preservative it's probably cosmoline and that stuff is great for its intended use, not for shooting tho lmao!
