Umarex Gauntlet received

Got the Gauntlet this afternoon. Mounted the scope and got it on target at 25 yards with the cheap Crosman HP 14.3 gr pellets. Didn't check trigger pull yet as I know I'll play with it. However, the trigger is not too bad like it is. Filled tank to 3000 psi and have fired it 40 times just to get use to trigger and getting on target. I think it is going to be accurate just seeing it shoot these cheap pellets. They chronographed at 848 fps. Looks like I should easily get 60 shots. I'll have to wait until my son is here for him to shoot it so I can stand away from it to see how loud it really is. Doesn't sound as loud as my Marauder. I have my hearing aids in and it really doesn't sound very loud, even in the shop. I have to decide how I will mount my bipod. So far, I'm impressed. Its not as pretty and sleek looking as my Marauder, but its ok and it cost half as much. Won't get back to sooting it until after Thanksgiving.

These Gauntlets are some fun guns to shoot. I kind of like the 177 cal more than the 22 cal but both are great. At 50 yards they compare with guns a lot more expensive. I stretched them out to 80-100 yards and they still maintained accuracy. I didn't shoot groups at this distance but was hitting cans and small objects with no problem. I got killer deals on both of mine. I wasn't even on a waiting list either. Got the 177 cal from Bud's Guns for $245 and the 22 cal from Sportsman's Guide for $242. I ordered some extra magazines which should here Friday. I also ordered 23ci tanks for both. They are coming from China so have not arrived yet. I expect the tanks to almost double my shot count.

Rumor ( video form dealer) says there is a .25 coming out, running 1,900psi ( but that would require a 3,00psi burst disc so the tube would need to be rated rather high ?) and 900+ fps w/lead ammo.
No idea if the internals are any different, wouldn't think more than a TP size difference with that much psi???

IF it can handle 1,900psi power shouldnt be an issue for normal airgun cal.

And congrats Jonah , looking forward to further reports.
