Umarex Gauntlet forearm removal - video-

I read others having issues and by tightening the stud screw first I can create the same issue with miss alignment otherwise if just doing the reverse of removal AND loosening the 2 side screws 1 turn or less both the ones I've seen align great.

and as videos are new to me, and I spent over a half hour uploading 2 thought I would add cocking it. There must be some reason we can all find that the oen's I've seen, a used .177 and a new .22 cock smoothly. How difficult is yours to cycle?

You can see I have a rather shotr ( drop tested safe though ) length of travel on the single stage trigger.

Regarding the bolt stiffness,
mine was very stiff at first. I have 250-300 thru mine now and it has smoothed out considerably but still has a little ways to go. At first i couldnt manipulate the bolt with the mag. By end of day yesterday I was able to work 10 rounds thru fairly easily. As usual things wear in over time. I took my barrel of last night and gave it 30 passes with the .30 brass brush and swabed it out between with a .22 bore mop. Nice and clean now.
headn out front to da range brah another excellent post!

Pili,
Is yours smoother with the single shot tray?

Mine cock's super smooth & easy and hasnt had any work done, my friends .22 is close but isnt one finger cocking smooth.

Post up some groups.

Those side screw DO make the difference. I dont remember the manual saying anything about them? As they do screw into the drop down block I think a lot of people dont want to or dont think of ( and do safe safe in ones thinking ) loosening them. While they do anchor the stock to the block they are not really ( but keep them ! ) a fastener for any psi, the only way those screws ever see force is if your bottle has already launched off the airtube.

If someone has a rough cycling one and you take it apart could you post up ,a picture of any marks and or your cure.

TIA

John
