UMAREX Gauntlet 2 (Full Review)

Does anyone know the twist rate of the G2 is it different from the G1

My testing shows the G2 to be the same twist rate as the previous version Gauntlet which is 1:20"

I received an email from a user that said he called Umarex USA and was told 1:24"
The reported 1:24" is incorrect and does not align with my findings.

I think the Avenger is better for most first time pcp buyers since it's lighter, shorter and has an externally adjustable regulator and a cocking lever.

...well, the Avenger out shoots my Impact M3...so, yeah, obviously no better choice for a first time PCP buyer.

I'm not a first time PCP buyer but I'm ready to quit the sport and my channel, because I just blew up my 8th compressor. I refuse to spend one more dime on air.

In my opinion PCP is more trouble than it's worth. Give me a bullet!!!!

Tell those first time PCP owners to go buy a Ruger 10/22, then ad upgrades. You can have a tack driving race rifle for under the price of an airgun, and the ammo and propellent fits in your pocket. No need to haul a huge tank around and run compressors with 5 gallon buckets of water. Just go to Walmart and buy the bullets.

Nate, Nate, Nate, Let's not talk foolishness now. Deep breathing, soothing bugaboo thoughts my dude 😁

While I am sorry to read your frustrations with the equipment challenges and I somewhat agree with your comment regarding the simplicity of a 22LR shooting experience, it is my experience that most of us came here from the powder burner world. We all remember the "I have to go the ranger early to get a spot" days or the "I have teardown my rifle and clean it because I shot it yesterday" or how about this one " Man I wish I could get more trigger time in my own back yard without dealing with the neighbors".... You remember all that Nate... Yeah me too.

Think back just 5 years ago and look how far the airgun world has come. You can snag a pretty reliable HPA compressor for under $300 bucks now. Remember when it was $1,000 for a slow shoe box compressor?

I realize that you made another post after this that you have cooled down and regained your composure but I just want to drive home to you that showing, sharing, and informing through your videos helps perpetuate our sport. More and more people see that there are many options coming to market and they have so many choices now than was available 5 years ago and that grows our community

While I or others may not agree 100% with the content that is produced out there, we all have to agree, silence is certain death and we have no content whether written or multimedia, the sport will suffer. I thank you for all the support you showed me in your video and I appreciate the time, energy, and cost to produce a video like what you did here.

Head up, deep breath, and get to editing!!! 😁😁😁

Thanks Haji! You called it! I did calm down and I'm back to loving airguns again. I wouldn't trade my airguns for a firearms ever. "They" may come for my firearms...but no one is coming for my airguns! They were good enough for Lewis and Clark!...

...Apparenlty Lewis and Clark (early explorers who discovered OR/WA area) used to have an airgun that shot dime groups at 150 yards. They would demonstrate it to the Indians to impress/intimidate them. My dad told me they used to try and pretend they had a bunch of these air guns to the Indains...but in reality they only had one.

Also, a guy named Pope used to make air gun barrels so accurate they shot .20 inch groups at 200 yards...that's 1/5th of an inch. ....look it up!

Have you measured the plenum volume of the gauntlet? If it's low I may make a couple of extenders on the lathe.
