So I had a credit that I wanted to use and long story short 5 bucks cash plus my 15 credit landed me an Umarex DX17.
I purchase it because it reminded me of my old Marksman repeater. It too was a coil spring type that shot a single pellet or multiple bbs.
Once I removed it from it's package. I dropped the release to the slide and cocked it back with no click. I end up playing with the trigger a little bit and the safety. I finally did get her to cock back.
The safety barely move between the safe and fire positions. The long trigger felt like it was dragged through mud filled with sandpaper. Good news is after five rounds the non adjustable sights seem to be in line.
What concerns me is when I was cocking the gun once time. the gun discharged on its own. there was no pellet inside.
No it's not worth me sending it back but I was wondering and I have scoured the internet trying to find it but is there a breakdown on these dx17 pistols?
I wonder if I have an issue with my safety or my trigger. I will play with them with more today and see if I have any other issues. I could also reach out to Umarex and see if they could do something.
Umarex morph is next as well as a Beeman p17.
