Umarex/Colt SAA & Holster

The pistol came in yesterday, my first pistol ever! And my wayward holster got rerouted back west to me from some 35-40M east of here today. It's nickel plated with satin black grips, 5.5" rifled barrel and shoots .177cal cartridges. Weighing 2lbs 1oz, it definitely has some heft to it! Chocolate brown (light colored for that descriptor?) 19th century reproduction holster that's making the man cave smell like leather! Made to fit a .45cal revolver with a 4-6 inch barrel. The SAA Peacemaker fits quite well. Here's some pics.

Good looking pistol and holster.

I may need some instruction on using my own, which I just got today. It's a used John Wayne Colt revolver. I'm stoked!

Thanks. I'll try to get the tablet and G2 synched up. I wanna clean and shoot it anyway. Being a Single Action Army, this design from 1871, you have to pull the hammer back all the way to shoot it. Mine shoots .177cal pellets on the light side. I'm going to try Beeman silver bears @ 7.1gr first. I'm talking to a guy on Facebook to make a gun belt like John Wayne's, " The Shootist". Wanna get the outfit too from historicemporium.com where the holster came from.

I got some more cleaning supplies in the mail today. So I'll get to trying to finish the video which will include chrono test results. I also got the bark brown belt. A couple inches too big, so the hollow punches will come out to play.

Well, with mine--at 15 ft--I'm happy to hit a coffee saucer sized target! Sometimes I get within a 1/2" of the bullseye, but not often. Oh, and that's with a rest! Yikes, these guns are fun but I won't be depending on it for killing dangerous vipers!

I've been catching up on other things and birthdays. But I'll git-r-done real soon. Things take forever to charge, then figure the rest out. I am working on the video though! Also did a lot more on the man cave remodel video as well.

The waistcoat is lambskin leather from the UK. The holster is a repro of a 19th century quick-draw holster from historicemporium.com . Belt is from walmart.com and the Winchester with wood stocks is made my Daisy and NOS besides! Replaced the belt as well with one the right color from midwayusa.com.
