Ugly Izzy 46m

Stopped by the local gun show this weekend and walked out with a 46m. She needed some clean up as the previous owner must have Let her get wet and sit. Some slight surface rust that cleaned up on but no beauty queen here. Good news is she shoots up to spec (460ish) so no teardown needed. No sights as it came with the b square mount for a red dot. Mounted one up and now trying to figure out 10m pistol shooting rather the rifle. Pretty cool little gun for under a c note. Anyone have any exp with these? Anyway to tell it's age?

Very interesting gun, and you stole it for that money! The IZH 46 is a fantastic pistol, super quality in all the spots that matter (barrel, trigger, sights), and maybe the easiest SSP to cock for the power ever built. But the styling, if you can call it that, is from the “tool room scraps flying in loose formation” school, LOL.

I have never seen a 46 with a barrel extension Iike that, very interesting. Could we see some more pics maybe?

Hello Mr Driskill and thanks for jumping in. From the above info about dating the pistol, the serial number starts with 00 so assuming it's from 2000. The importer marking is Eeac from Florida. I could not find any pictures of a similar barrel "sleeve" so far but it does look stock. My pistol also does not have the ring towards the end of the barrel that locks the barrel to the tube. Not sure if it's been removed or never had one. It doesn't look like it's had one or needs one but don't know. Here are a few more pictures. Let me know what you think.

Thanks! Very interesting gun indeed. I agree everything looks factory, or otherwise expertly done.

I'm embarrassed to say that after asking those questions...I really don't know enough about the details of the 46M to make any intelligent comments! I owned one for a while, but that was years ago. Anyone else out there seen this nifty muzzle extension on one of these pistols?
