TX200HC or HW97K and why?

I got a TX200 and have tried the hw97, both are accurate as it is, and heavy, My TX200 Doesn't have that twang when you shoot, but has the twang on he safety pin off, tried my friend hw97, definitely has a lot of twang when firing. doesn't bother me at all on both, love the stock of the TX200 even thou it is only a beech wood one, the detailing is just very nice on the bluing and workmanship.

Ok I will wade in here also. I have two walnut TX200, A Jim Maccari TX200 that he imported from AirArms writhe the 9" barel like the Pro Sport, it is in a custom JM field target stock. There is also a TX200 SR, and just recently picked up a TX200 HC. So to say I like TX200's is an understatement. My plan is to install a .22mm 12fp kit in one of them as soon as I make up my mind which one. Also have a Russ Best tuned Pro Sport. All in .177

i also have a HW97 .177, that I bought just to see how the other side lived. It has a 12Ffp kit installed. Well I am not willing to get rid of any of my TX's but I do like the 97 well enough that I bought a Lucas Parsley FT stock for it.

So which is better, darned if I know ! I like them all and they all shoot extremely well if I do my job behind the gun. Each and every one is as much fun to look at as they are to handle and shoot. I have resealed a couple of the TX's and there a pleasure to work on, But I would not hesitate to open up the 97 if it ever needs it.

So buy which ever one speeks to you, but my true recommendation is to getting both ! They are both worth owning.
