TX200-.22 Pellet Picky

As I break in my new TX200, I'm finding it pellet picky. It does not like the Air Arms 16 grn which I found odd. It does not like the H&N FTT 5.53 head size; these are also too tight in the chamber. It does like the JSB 18.13 grns and the Crossman 14.3 grn hollow points. I just purchased the Crossman 14.3 grain fully domed but haven't shot those yet. I'm thinking of trying another JSB but not sure what weight.

Any thoughts here are welcome.

I just purchase a TX200 HC and I haven’t found anything except crosman 14.3 and they are not that great past 25 yds.I have shot all the 14.66 H&N 5.53 5.54 & 5.55 . Tried AA 16 JSB 16 and 18. And tried H&N 21.14. Almost no success. Gave up on the .22 and ordered a .177 barrel. The gun was used when I got it so idk how it was treated prior. Seem like a lot of people like the 13.43 I may try them before I swap my barrel. Hope you have better luck than I have so far.

I bough my TX200 HC .22 earlier this summer. So far I've tried everything you have and more. I've settled on the Crosman Hollow Points. I can hold a good pattern to the far edge of my range which is 65 yrs. Less than $7.00 per 500 pellets. I can live with that. No need to look any further. I also have a TX200 .177 MKIII. There is no comparison between the two in so many areas. The .22 is so much harder to shoot! You have to be RIGHT ON in guessing distance. The flatter trajectory of the .177 makes knowing the distance not as critical. Also the KICK of the .22 will throw your hold off more often. That being said I prefer to plink with the .22 over the .177. It gives me so much more satisfaction when you do everything right. I've put 3,000 or 4,000 rounds at least through my .22 using the Crosman Hollow Points. If you get your hold down and consistent 65 yrs is no problem at all. That being said I would never shoot Hunter Field Target with my .22 TX200 unless I had to.
