TX 200 Hard case

I recently bought an Apache case from Harbor Freight for an HW44. They are well made and reasonably priced. I do believe that they make a rifle (double?) case as well. Not hard case but the Savior line of soft cases looks interesting as well.

I have this Plano in 42” May be too tight for the TX200 unless placed a bit diagonal. The 42” is about $70 and rock solid, one of the best values out there.

BTW, these meet all your requirements and then some. I actually get annoyed over the total of 5 latches. It’s very weather and abuse proof. I fit my KG Mini Carbine with Scope and have plenty of room left over for the Bipod and pellet tins. 

I agree completely with the Plano case.

Another for the Plano case. have one and gets used every year sending a TX-200 from Calif to Ohio and to this day has nary a scratch. GREAT CASE !

I have this Plano...# 109501 Field Locker

Waterproof, Airline approved, Lockable, even stabilizes pressure at altitude 

Pluck to fit foam. Was alittle pricey but no where near what a gun is worth so I figure good investment. We shoot field target in the rain and between shots I know the gun is safe and secure. 

Another vote for the Plano case, that's all I use!

I’ve resisted buying Plano cases only because they are heavy to carry. However if I was traveling they would be my pick . For moving guns around locally I don’t need that much protection. Typically soft cases are enough for my application 

I also like the Plano case. My Prod fit nicely in the 42” all weather case. 

Pretty sure the scope is not a problem, but the inside size of the 42 may be too short. I will measure it for you in a bit.

If you aren't going to fly with it buy a good soft case. Hard cases are big, bulky, and a PITA. I used to use hard cases extensively but they take up too much room in the car, in the house, and harder to carry. And yes I have a couple really nice TX200 rifles in custom FT stocks that cost more than the rifle and have no fear with a good soft case.

I have the Plano and the Harbor Freight, Bought each on sale for around $100. The Plano is big and heavy I carry my Mac1 USFT which is big heavy and ugly but is my go to FT gun ! I hate the locks on the ends as the handle on one end makes it a finger pinching sob.

The Harbor freight case handles my RAW TM1000 and I feel protects it just as well. I guess if I was going to fly with a gun I would use the Plano it has keyed locks and the latches on the ends Might keep the handling monkeys from damaging any thing as easly but man it would be expensive as heavy and that case is.

I like the protection the hard cases give but also feel good quality soft case gives good protection unless dropped or in externally wet environment.

In fact most FT matches want the gun cased or in a carrier when moving from lane to lane, so even of i go to the match with the gun in a hard case I tend to take a soft case for use at the match and return the gun and equipment to the hard case for the trip home. 

Plano also gets my nod, and the fact they come inside a heavy duty cardboard box makes for a nice, secure vessel to ship my rifles to my tuner 3000 miles away
