A usefull tip.

When there´s no compressor nor squba and you have to pump to fill your rifle, this hobie becomes not so funny.

Here are two super important changes to suffer the less:

1.- Substitute the horizontal piece that you take in your hands for pumping. Get one of solid iron that wieght the closest to 6 kgs. You need about 60 cms of 1"1/14 solid round iron; and

2.- Mount and fix the pump on thik wood or a piece of iron made for the purpose in order that you do not need to flex your self when pumping. Depending on the lenght of the pump you are using and how tall you are, the height of the base you need.

The increase on the weigh on the handling make gravity to work in your favor reducing considerably the effort pushing downside.

The better standing possition reduces the need of pushing downs.

These two modifications make all the difference in effort when pumping.

Regards.

That’s pretty clever right there. Nicely done. Does the weight on top not make it harder to pull up though? I’ve always thought about pumping with legs if I ever got one of them. May still do it ine of these days just for the heck of it.

There´s also pressure upside in the hand pump when the preassure to the rifle increases. That pressure is higher than the 6 kgs of weight you incorporate.
