Two bandits take a dirt nap.

I've been after these raccoons for several weeks with no success, or at least these were two contributing to my feeder problems. After discovering over the weekend the corn fields adjoining my property were being harvested I knew these pests were going to be back. Several times they've given me the slip while I've taken the time to unload my .25 M-Rod so tonight I decided to grab the easiest rifle to unpack, the .22 M-Rod. First raccoon was taken on my feeder at over 40yds. The second I caught a short distance down my fence line up in a tree and I was about 20yds from it.

The reason I'm taking raccoons is simple. Last year between them and the squirrels they devastated one of the largest batches of pecans I've seen in recent years from my trees. Then after that they've routinely wrecked my feeders I've sat up, and even went as far as to turn over the trash can I keep handy on the property to throw away my cans and plastic bottles once I'm done using them for target practice.
