has anyone had any experience with these? There is a guy on the TAG from New Zealand that has one, he seems to be getting good results from it.

I emailed the seller of the similar one with out that big round top.  They recommended a bigger one to fill the 90cu in. carbon fiber tank I have.
Make sure it can handle what you are filling.    Almost ready to purchase one myself the fill shops around here are frustrating.

Some of them do read well, and “some” may be very good.
Even the failed mrodair compressor the factory ( originally) advertised filling only small – in the cc range NOT tanks) bottles & tubes directly on rifle with a run time of a few minutes. That mrodair unit might ( not likely due to QC) have worked for brief fillings of say 13ci tanks?  To me ( with NO engineering ability) it seems it  it wouldn’t take all that much to build a compressor made to fill an airgun – 200/300cc   or even 500cc.  FX hooked there gen2 hand pump up to a motor for fill airguns ( NOT large scuba/scba tanks) and I do know of one that still runs.
I believe most U.S. ( esp. ) airgun folks do not want to fill there rifle once then shoot & re-fill rifle from pump. Most want to fill large , 80cf & up , tanks for many fast refills.

But depending on a persons true “needs”  IF you can find the good manufacturer of one of these SMALL cylinder compressors, then it might be worth the money to some.
Now such a unit with NO support in your Country, “I” wouldn’t purchase one.    “I” certainly would like to see some legitimate  dealer  with parts & service carry some such device though.  I do think there is some market for a tiny high psi compressor but less so all the time.

I went with the Altros Booster,  $614  and works perfectly even filling scba tanks.

Yep, I bought an Altaros also, I read everything on it I could find and even though it hasn’t been on the market very long, everyone who had them were giving it good reviews. It’s such an ingenious design and so simple, I really felt it was the way to go. Of corse, if you don’t have room for a fairly big compressor, I think a shoebox is the better option. I just don’t trust anything of that level of sophistication coming out of China.

I have one of them. It will fill a rifle just fine. I have filled my 4500 68ci carbin fiber tank with it. It is better suited to filling the gun though. I would not take my money back for mine. And it makes short work filling my guns. My SCBA tank went out of date. It cost me less for the compressor than a new tank. I even filled my SCBA tank with it once. It took a long time to do it. I had to let the compressor cool a couple of times in the process. I would not advise filling big tanks with it.
Been using it just about every day for a couple of months now. I really like it.

I am getting ready to order one a little bigger. Will let everyone know how it works out.

I should have one in a couple of weeks.

Edit: Got it in 13 days but under the weather so no testing yet.

Any feedback?  How is the compressor holding up?  I’m seriously looking at buying the newest version along with the bigger filter kit.

I am still using mine just about every day. I use it to fill my rifles. I did fill my 90 ci tank today to see how long it took. I gave up at 4000psi. It took an hour to do that. But like I said it is the cats meow for filling my rifles. Will fill any of them in just a couple minutes. I would buy another.

I use mine to fill my 1.1L CF bottle for in the field fills. Works great. although I had to take it apart and clean it up because whatever oil they used to test it was dieseling badly. But cleaned it nicely and filled it with Coltri Compressor oil and that extra filter is not at all needed. Just make sure that every two minutes you open/close (quickly) the main drain valve or Pressure release valve. That way you drain it of moisture and the filter will stay nice and dry. No regrets and would buy again for sure.
Seriously though, that drain technique is awesome, simply ignore that other side drain valve because it doesnt really do much, but the main valve… it is a joy to look at how dry the filter stays, and how dry the air must be since I do use the extra fiter anyways lol.

    “396ranger”Just ordered the newest version.

You are going to love these little compressors.
The place I got mine from just shipped me the new head for mine. They said that is the only improvement to the new one. They also said mine should pump more pressure faster then it is. This should make mine even better.
The 2 cylinder compressor was also shipped. I will let everyone know how it works. They said it will pump up a scba tank in 30 min.. If that is so it will be great for me. I am going to use it to fill my 90cu in. tank mostly. It should do that very quick. We will see.
