Tuning the Brocock Bantam Sniper HR

Could you please explain more about thread locking the hammer tension adjustment? I have used blue thread lock for years and has saved time and money not searching for a lock nut. I can see the screw you are going to take out to put thread lock on but if you take that out and put it back in do you not CHANGE however it was set? I would like to keep mine, at this point, factory and AOA tuned but I also don't want that hammer tension adjustment to start working it's way out and causing flyers or other problems. Is there something I can read or look at that will explain my issue? Thanks.

You can return adjuster to same location by measuring distance with depth gauge such as a set of dial calipers then screwing back in to same depth.I clean internal and external threads with isopropyl alcohol before applying thread locking compound. Never use anything but medium strength thread locker, high strength Red will require a torch to move adjuster once it sets up.

Ever since JSB released new pellets in .22 particularly the 25.4gr redesigned I realized the factory 430mm LW barrel that came with my gun had it's limits, Although I was able to get 800 FPS out of the stock barrel I wanted more velocity and the only way to increase velocity and keep efficiency is to add length to the barrel. What I did to my Bantam Sniper is design and machine an adapter to integrate a FX Smooth Twist barrel system to the Bantam Sniper HR, I first tested a STX 600mm liner and was able to get velocity to 870 FPS right off the bat and should be able to go even higher. My goal is 900-920 with 25.4 JSB redesigned, These pellets are extremely accurate at 870 using the 600mm FX STX liner.

I shot them at 50 yards only and the 25.4 Redesigned JSB's where by far the most accurate pellet to date from the Sniper HR even with the factory LW barrel, but even more accurate with the 600mm FX STX liner and velocity jumped to 870. I was looking over some of my notes and with the 600mm STX liner in the Bantam HR I was able to push 14.3gr JSB Exacts at 1026 FPS.and I have since then turned the power up even more. Shooting the 25.4's @ 870 equates to 42.7 foot pounds at the muzzle while still maintaining superb accuracy.
