I don’t have a 1/2 x20 threaded shroud, I made and bought a style that will slide over my .750” RAW barrel sleeve. First tuner was very crude and simplistic, Second was much more refined and Third was a very precise and custom made Tuner.
All the tuners served the same purpose and effect. Actually I feel you don’t need super precise adjustments, I proved to myself that the super precise adjustments wasted a lot of time with no clear improvement in groups (if a 1/8 to 1/4 inch adjustment didn’t make a difference and then cutting those adjustments finer showed no distinct improvement)
I can go on and on boring most shooters, but let me say this, my tuners offered more axial travel then most, also I could change the weight of the tuners ( overall weight and amount of weight ahead of the Muzzle “AHEAD of the MUZZLE”)
You could literally spend Wks. Testing different styles of tuners, then you must factor in consistency of pellets? Environmental impacts, etc.,etc.
I’ve pretty much made up my mind on using these devices for clear and proven accuracy improvements. Each shooter will have to prove to themselves the benefits.
One last caveat, I actually spent all of one and most of a second lot of pellets testing indoors, these actually should or could have been used in Competition, after testing indoors and proving to myself that without even using a tuner they were much more accurate than I originally thought?
