I received it on Friday I zero'd it at 25 yards with my Benjamin Marauder .22 cal. My previous scope I could shoot .5" at 40-45 yards. I was almost shooting same hole at 25 yards with the ATN Scope, but when I started moving things out further I couldnt even get a 3" grouping. I tried to do a ballistic profile. That only made things worse. I was hitting 1.5 inch plates at 70 yards relatively easily with a Centerpoint scope before. Now with the ATN I cant even judge at 70 yards where I am. Today I spent an Hour and a half trying to zero it at 50 yards thinking maybe this will help but its almost impossible to see the holes in the paper. I would have to go down range put a piece of tape then do the adjustments. Every time I adjusted it went some where random again. I mean I am talking 6 inches down or to the right almost never anything resembling the previous shot. Which with these same exact pellets I know on a bad day I was hitting 1.5" at 50 yards. I then figured maybe adjusting with ballistics would some how affect the outcome which I do believe it does. I believe having Ballistics on effects the zeroing process. I still have not had a group of 3 shots within 5 Inches of each other now I am starting to think maybe I should stick with a shorter zero yardage wise but I like to shoot 50 yards + since its more challenging. I am not really a hunter just like tinkering and trying to get my best groupings. I have 100 yards to play with in my backyard. Which I see online a bunch of people hunting with the atn on airguns hitting pigeons dead on from 50 yards sometimes even out to 70 plus yards. A lot of times they have to be using ballistics because they aren't holding over or anything. I am just trying to figure if this scope is right for me. I do have a racoon problem in my yard at night I wanted to use the NV and maybe pick a few off at night. They would be 35-50 yard shots, but if I cant get a good zero I dont know if this scope is worth its price. Just wondering if anyone has any hints or similar problems that they cured. Or am I S.O.O.L. Thank you for your time.
