Tripods - I'm hooked.

I had a moment of tripod realization that made me smile this morning.

Both the compact tripod and the full size tripod have 100mm heads. Rather than purchasing two medium grade balls heads, I can run one nicer RRS head and just swap the base plate between the two tripods. Yay!

This is what I LOVE about "Systematic" style tripods. I have leveling bases, Gimbal and normal ballheads on these swap-able plates. The same plates fit my Gitzo and Induro legs,. so it's all easily interchangeable.

It's really well made, and no fear of clamping a nice walnut stock in it. It just works really well.

I pickup a Leofoto LS-365C and the LH-40 head combo from Amazon with a friend’s @yenniedn recommendation. It’s rock solid. I’m hooked too.

Here is my treerat killing set up. I have a Velbon tipod as well, they are real stable, us it to shoot from a bucket.
