Training with Tactical Barriers Pt. 2

egd: "I just don't get all this "tactical" training stuff. WHY? Are you going to war? If all these tactical timmys want to play army why don't they just join the army. It's just plain silly."

Watch the first video where I describe the answer to that very question. It has noting to do with war, confrontations, or joining any kind of military organization at all. That's your mind making that up and taking you in that direction. My videos have nothing to do with either of the things you're suggesting. Here's a hint: In that first video, listen to what I say after, "And, that's what this is all about...."

Why do you shoot at all? (I'm assuming you do since your on a shooting forum

Why do you sight in your rifle? You could just lob projectiles in the general direction of your target and hope one hits.

Why practice shooting in different conditions?

Why go to competitions and compete against others?

(These are all rhetorical questions to prompt you, and anyone else with a similar attitude, to think on a deeper level since they are all, ultimately, asking the same thing.)

If you're not enjoying the sport of shooting, perhaps it's time to reflect on why you're participating in it, at all (again, assuming that you are). And, if shooting sports brings you to such a negative place so quickly, perhaps you've lost sight of the true enjoyment that it brings to friends, families, and so many individuals on a very personal level, throughout the world.

I do enjoy the sport and games of shooting, just not tactical training for whatever you think you need to train for. I still think that's silly. I actually did click on something I thought would take me to your first video just out of curiosity, but I never made it through the hoops to get there. Why don't you just tell me why tactical training is so important instead of trying to get more clicks.

Fundamentally, I believe we are all here on this forum because we enjoy airguns of every shape and form and also enjoy different types of airgunning from plinking to hunting to field target to target competition and yes, even tactical air gunning. I don't see that as an outlier. Regardless of what we shoot and shoot at, I believe we do it for fun and to maybe even challenge ourselves to improve our skills, or not. I don't believe Tom is wanting or pretending to play army, it is just another way to have fun and improve his skills. Why would anyone participate in IPSC, IDPA or three gun, or? If not primarily for fun. I think this forum can be bitey and combative at times just because we disagree with someone. Perhaps agreeing to disagree would be a better way to go? Be passionate, be informative, be fun. Do no harm, speak no harm, intend no harm. Be harmonious, even if that is sometimes dissonant.

@egd This shooter gets it, and has stated it quite nicely. I'm not after clicks, either. If that's what you think, then, your perception of my motivation is way off.
