Trail Cameras?

Recently I decided to try using a little bait to gauge if there were any squirrels already running amok on a rural piece of property I own. Unfortunately within two days everything I'd placed out was gone. This lead me to believe that something else has been at work out there.

So tonight I went ahead and bought a cheap trail camera to get some evidence. I'm a newbie though when it comes to this. So I was wondering if anyone with more experience has any basic tips for their use?

The best way to use a trail camera
1. Remember trail cams use motion detection to snap a shot, motion doesn't need to be from an animal most cams have in the settings an aiming setting that will turn on a light as it detects movement you want to adjust the cam to reduce leaves or limbs from setting it off.
2.Try to keep the sensor away from direct light it will burn the sensor out or blind the sensor so it will not detect movement.
3.Use the mini SD with an adapter this will let you pop the mini out plug it in your phone and see what you've got.
4.If your using the cam in your back yard you do not have to worry about this but if its out away from you I suggest you break off some small limbs with leaves and camo it it a little you would be amazed how fast they will disappear and man that REALLY pisses you off.
5.Use short delay cycles for more pics of same animal longer delay cycles to save battery life, pics take lot less space and power than vids vids well you track movement easier
