Trade Wildcat for Daystate Air Ranger?

I placed an add in the classifieds and one of the other members here responded and we are considering a trade his gun like mine are fairly new and unblemished. He wants a hunting gun and is left handed I shoot more off the bench and don't really mind the extra length and weight. Has anyone that is left handed shot the Wildcat? How do these guns compare to one another? I am a little concerned the Air Ranger is not a regulated gun and my Wildcat is. When I looked for my first PCP gun the wildcat fit most of the specs I thought I wanted, but being as it is my first gun of this type it was an educated guess after gathering as much info as I could from here.

I like the Wildcat but after shooting it, it probably is not the best gun for what I do and because I am 6'5" it feels small to me. My original plan was to make a butt extension for the Wildcat but now I am thinking maybe I should just go with a different gun. The idea of a trade sounds better than taking a hit and selling to re buy something else. I would like us both to get a good deal and the other member may weigh in if he wants. What are your thoughts from guys with experience in these guns? Both are .25 cal.

Thanks Mike

Also have them both, but in .22.
The classic styled Air Ranger is a bit more suitable for the range/benchrest I think, when the wildcat is more suitable in a field/huntingscenario.....? But I have to say maybe when it comes to the benchrest, as I actually like the side lever on the wc better than the ranger's boltaction. Ok, you can shift the bolt to the left on the ranger, and for a lefthanded a pluss of course, but it still isn't as smooth as the wc when i comes to cocking.
Since it was mention, the trigger on the ranger is very nice, and actually slightly better than the wc in my opinion.
Both guns are top of the line, and a trade between two airgunners with different needs sems to be a good solution.
Conclusion: I would not mind trading, if the other rifle suits your needs better.

I've owned two Air Rangers, and their quality is superb.

However, bear in mind they have no regulator. Their vaunted "Harper" valve is nothing more than a no bounce hammer design. It does not produce miracle shot counts.

Being unregulated, it is somewhat of an air hog. Mine had a 400 cc tank and it got half the shot count as my regulated bullpups with a bit over half the Air Ranger's air capacity. Be certain you have an adequate air supply for a big gun like this.

Further, it is the biggest pcp I ever owned. Not particularly heavy, but very long and broad in it's features. Not a gun to carry around a great deal. Cetainly not a gun for a woman or a smaller man. I'm 5' 9", 185 lbs and it was all I wanted to handle, and certainly not a gun I would take into the field to hunt with. It begs for a bi-pod to steady that muzzle way down at the end of that long barrel.

I loved the looks, design and high quality...but it just felt "too big" for me to enjoy.
