The one I would use is my DAR25. I'm getting 45 fpe with 34gr. JSB Diabolo Exact King Heavies. I know that is thought to be enough. It's just that this thread is giving me doubts.
I've wounded a jack decades ago. I had 12g #4's in my pocket, unaware that several shells of birdshot were also. That thing sounded like an infant begging for his 4 am feeding. Two more bird shots still wouldn't kill it. Finally, my cuz walked over and took it out at point-blank. He asked to see an empty, then showed me what not to ever use again.
Not a positive experience for young 1st timer jumping jacks in the Mojave.
