Well that lack of feedback really bites. I too was hoping to hear some first hand accounts. I've read many many reviews online, some complaining about the frame rate or FOV, others lauding what is essentially the only affordable thermal weapon sight. So far they've not been cheap enough or good enough sounding to get me to jump.
As a somewhat tech-savvy guy, the solution I use for night shooting at the moment is one of the generic chinese "best sight" systems with a few modifications. It is similar to the "Nite Site" system (which to be clear Nite Site didn't invent) in that it mounts a camera with its IR filter removed behind your scope and a screen on top. Pairing that with an IR illuminator gives you good crisp images, and glowing eyes, pretty much as far out as your illuminator will throw. Being a bit of a flashlight freak I swapped the factory IR illuminator for a custom build with MUCH more power, and made a few other tweaks, but put together it gives me crisp images in pitch black out beyond 500 yards with no need to re-zero or anything of the sort. Mice at 100 yards are easy. At 60ish yards I can watch insects fly around the bait. The unit cost me about 200$ at the time, I think they're cheaper now, and comes with lots of room for adjustment/improvement and ZERO useful instructions. Not the answer to the question you were asking, I know, but that is the best I've got I'm afraid.
Here is a potato quality cell-phone picture I took of the screen on the unit. Before someone freaks out, I did NOT shoot the cat, merely observed someone else was hunting rodents in the same spot I was. I left her to it, as we shared a common purpose. This range is about 60-70ish yards if memory serves. Getting a cell-phone picture of an LCD screen in the pitch black while balancing a rife naked with alligators isn't easy, and they don't come out great, but I hope that gives some idea of the capability here.
