Took out the safe queen today

Not much said about these probably more before I joined . Decided to exercise the poor girl ,Cricket Carbine 22 cal. had her for about 2 yrs less than a tin through her . I just seem to shoot my bull pups more . I love the trigger and cocking but hate loading and unloading the mag the safety also sucks (press to hard & it will fall out)`Posted a few shots from last Sept. & today 32 yds. one mag full at ea. target , also the gun .

sorry about the pictures but not very good with these dang computers !

kayaker,

No kidding about these rifles. I wound up with a used one two years ago (also in .22) and was surprised to see how little chatter there was by that point. They were the talk of the town in prior years, but seemed to quickly disappear from the limelight. I never shot it and loaned it out to a friend so he could play around and test it. His experience with it was positive and it shot extremely well, then COVID hit and the rifle became a forgotten topic. I just got it back about two months ago and I realize how nice a platform these carbines are, but I still need to actually shoot it.

Fashion has limited the popularity of full length rifles in the high end guns, but they didn't stop being accurate and reliable. I still have my share of PCP's that aren't bullpups, sure they might be a long, but they're still great to shoot and yours confirms that. Thanks for sharing and keep letting it see the sunlight now and then :)

plingpling---- will get my son to show my as I am lost on these things lol

Matt---- I'm better at freezing up the computer than shooting lol . I expected better or the same results as the first picture but my tremmors were kicking in, probably should stick with 5 shot groups lol . thanks

Crank I hear you , the thing is a laser if I do my part it holds together at 80 to 90 yards .I'll post some long range shots later . The trigger feels like a hair trigger than my other guns very very lite . I think my problem is I don't want to put a scratch on it LOL

Kayaker,

I have a Cricket Carbine in 25 that I love, but, as you said, loading the magazine is a pain in the arse, and the safety is less than worthless.

As I won't have a field gun without a usable safety, I designed and machined a safety that works slicker than snot. I have one extra. PM me your address and I'll send it to you. You can give it a whirl.

Recent new owner of a used Cricket Carbine .22. It is a spectacular airgun. So accurate and easy to shoot. Nothing 1/4" or bigger stands a chance inside 50 yards.

I also note how so many people dislike the rotary mag and loading mechanism. Personally I love this type of setup. The pellets are secured very well and you never hear of accuracy issues loading from the mag like so many other brands.

ctshooter I should have mentioned that I'm left handed and have essential tremors in which makes it a challenge to load and unload the mag from the breech . My trigger is 12 oz. which I really like , it shoots the AA Diabolo Field 16 grain and JSB Monster 25.3 just as well as the JSB 18.1's . You are dead on about the 50 yd. range what scope are you using ?

If you get a chance give the new H&N Barracuda 18 a try - they seem to buck the wind for me better than the JSB 18.

Right now I'm using a March-F 3-24x42. I love how it mates with the Cricket Carbine, Just a touch over 12" and only 22 oz. I'm actually considering selling my Nightforce NX8 4-32 to fund a second one - it's that good.
