Jack.k - Thats right. and the silver piece you see inside the end of the Impact barrel seems to be a spacer/guide/stopper (for the shroud) all in one. 

rockymtbiker - Thanks for the tip! I that's one inexpensive and very easy way that everyone can personalize their own Impact. I'll have to go take a look myself! ...Hmmm, Do they make a nice laminate AR-15 grip?

FunGun - Sound effects? LOL! No, that was a slanted rock out at about 45 yards. In a way, I wish I hadn't shot something because (although it was fun) it ended up being a little distracting from focusing on the shooting sound. I am wondering if it would work better if I moved the camera even further out.
Yes, an SD of 2 is terrific! If this rifle needed a break in period, I'm pretty sure that was done even before I got it. 


------------Yes, I could download a db app and use it. But, imagine if I were to post here and say the db level is ###, and then extended it's ###, and the Wildcat is ###. I didn't want to do that because (to me) that would just be a bunch of numbers to look at without very much meaning. Shooting at the camera (albeit risky) was a lot more fun for me and a lot more entertaining for you all to watch. The camera still picks up too much sound but, I think it gives you guys at least a starting point for what to expect. I just wish I had a Marauder to compare against too. That would have pertained to a lot more shooters.

rockymtbiker - I tried to take the moderator off once before. But I don't have proper instructions at this time so, when it got hung up on the stopper, I stopped and put it back together. I like it how it is and I don't want to mess it up or get a piece of grit in there and then scratch it up. So, I'd like to leave it in place. 
It doesn't seem like it would have saved .8 lbs to me. 
Where did you see 6.2 lbs posted? Are you thinking of the reference I made to the .22 Wildcat in the vid? 

Luckydog - I think that might just work for some folks. Thank you for sharing. That would make the rifle hang upside down and pointed to the ground and rear. Should make it easy to grab and swing up for a quick shot as well as keep the strap out of the way. You might just have to watch to see if it would hit that bottom tube back there.

rockymtbiker - Thanks for the link. You might try posting this over on michael's thread. His scale looked a lot better than mine and he might be able to answer that for you. If I'm not on the cheapy hanging scale then, I'm on the bathroom scale, or the pellet scale. I think I'd be overweight on the pellet scale, and underweight on the bathroom scale.
