Had a ton of fun, got 14 starlings and one house sparrow. Only 13 starlings in the picture as I couldn’t retrieve the house sparrow and one starling as they didn’t fall off the roof.
The farmer hates the starlings because they crap all over everything and hates the house sparrows because the take over his Martin gourds. I took them home. The local fox will have taken every single one by 7 PM. She’s got a litter of kits to feed right now and I’m happy to help her out. Where I live Lyme disease is rampant and the foxes do a great job controlling the white footed mouse, which is a vector for deer ticks.
