Now this is just my thoughts on the L2 so dont bash be. It seems more like a gimmick in a way. Its cool and unique but for the asking price there are far better options out there. If you have to have it then go for it. They are cool looking and all the functional dress up stuff you can get for it is impressive, but that gun could nearly double in price depending on what you get for it. Now I do not have one but have often considered it just for the novelty of it, and even nearly jumped the gun a few times only to get something else instead. On paper and from looking around on this site Im just not impressed with it. Im honestly more impressed with the original then the new one. With that said, If you just got to have one then go for it. They are cool but I would not expect to much from it and you might even be a bit disappointed in the end.
Sorry but I’ll have to disagree with everything you said, except for price. Even then, there are the fx guys spending the same on an impact (I have one too), and it also has a niche market. The leshiy 2 is a fantastic hunting/pesting platform that gives the opportunity to have a compact, light weight, rugged and accurate platform for woods walking, and to bang around the farm. I keep mine with me at all times, and it’s ready to go. No reg creep, no poi changes, no screw on moderator, just grab and shoot.
that being said, it’s not a 100yd accurate beast like an impact. The impact can shoot farther, but I feel is limited to tripod or benchrest work. Carrying one in the field for long periods of time can get tiring and cumbersome. Not to mention bumping the barrel and having to rezero.
Again, I have both, and both serve a purpose. Both are niche guns, and both are just as expensive as each other. Are there other options? Sure, but I wouldn’t call these a novelty. I had a leshiy classic also. Very similar in job to the leshiy 2, but I craved the quicker follow up shot (not all of us are spot on with our aim, and putting game down quickly and humanely often needs a follow up) and so the classic went, and the L2 came. I’m very pleased with my choices as are most L2 owners. The same goes for impact owners, and daystate owners, and air arms owners. We have a market built around individuals needs, and there’s an airgun for everyone and their personal needs. Yours may be different to mine, it in no way does that make what I one a novelty, and what you own not.
