As any springer shooter will tell you it's all about a contestant repeatable hold. A while back I was on a quest for the perfect bench rest for a springer and started by copying a design that someone else came up with
The whole idea behind the roller is that you want the rifle to freely recoil and not impede on the shot cycle which promotes the fist rule of sprigers, "constant repeatable shots". Wasn't thrilled with the results however, and after several failed ideas I realized by accident that I had the perfect rest in my house the whole time.
Yoga roll. You can get them anywhere and for 10 bucks its a pretty reasonable buy. Sitting 6" high it is perfect for bench work. Rolls just enough on recoil and I have to say helped my groups more than anything else I have ever used .
Hope someone might get some use out of this, I know this is a pretty pcp heavy crowd.
