TIps on using an Omega Compressor

turn machine on let the water pumps start moving the water. shut you bleed valves all up on bottle also turn pumps on and get the machine pressure in the line up to whats n the bottle say 3000 psi then open your bottle up and your good to go. dont open the bottle up till your line pressure meets your tank pressure it puts to much stress on the machine.

If you are getting the Air Charger make sure you have a good filter between the compressor and your tank. Yeah I know that you can bleed off a lot of the moisture by purging t6he compressor every 15 minutes or so ... but it doesn't take a lot of moisture getting in your gun to create super headaches. If you are going to all the expense of buying a pcp and a compressor, it only makes sense to ensure what goes in your gun is clean dry air. When I was using a hand pump with a filter to fill my Marauder I had a leak on the fill port and went inside the air reservoir to replace a couple of o-rings ... I had corrosion throughout the tank ... it wasn't pretty. Don't do that to yourself, get a good filter!

Pretty simple machines ... I've got an Original OMEGA / ALPHA 90 that will be 5 yrs old this December.

Water with some antifreeze / coolant added. Grease in the lube cup/thimble. Filters if you have them and turn it on ... ENJOY

Purge air & water via bleeder OFTEN !! ( Like every 5 min of less ! )

I'm really happy to hear about durability whenever I consider buying something. I'd rather pay a reasonable premium for something good once than go through the hassle and heartbreak of saving a little money only to have to buy again(and go through all the phone calls etc etc.). Glad to see you still feel good about your purchase. Hope it applies to the Trail Charger I'm thinking of. I'm willing to pay a premium for quality, but not for bragging rights.

Trail charger know nothing about ..... as with most things NEW, there needs to be time to be things OLD with a track record.

Looked it up .... Chinese https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/jts-gx-e-cs3-compressor/

Speaking with someone who is familiar .... different machine architecture being more TUXING in it being a piston with a piston stacked being a 2 stage, where the Typical omega is a piston within a piston within a piston being a 3 stage.

LOL I am too new to all this ... I have been reading/viewing for weeks and still have no idea what you are saying regarding different stages. I don't know if whatever you said is even good or bad. Can you explain it to a true newbie please? Because I'll never hear it from a sales site and youtube is too much random misdirection and generally borderline useful at best.

Southern Gunner has 3 videos on You Tube about the Omega Air Charger. Take a look at the one entitled "Omega 3 years later and still just as good as day 1". That video was taken 2 years ago and I got in touch with him and he said that he is still using the same Omega with no problems.

Your mileage may vary but I believe that it is as well made as any Chinese compressor out there. Just be sure to let the water flow through the radiator for about 5 minutes after using it for a fill. Mine goes from 3.000 psi to 4,500 in 42 minutes ... not fast, but slow and steady.

Thanks John! I'll take a look.

I would not suggest an omega and heres why. They are made in China, and like anything coming out of China it is made of cheap parts and assembled incorrectly with terrible instructions.

On my brand new one I used it for 2 hours when it started having issues, I spent 6 more hours run time trying to figure it out, and phone calls. Then at hour 8 I had the same issues and it would trip the switch inside itself at 1200psi

I spent 7 hours rebuilding the whole machine, and I found they had assembled the piston wrong. How can I, someone who’s never built or took apart one, do a better job than one of their staff that builds these every day. Ends up they had o rings on incorrectly and oring supports on the wrong way around. I got it back working and I’m told ‘this happens all the time’

id go with a Bauer as first choice, and if not the Daystate/Coltri as number 2. Excellent and last forever.

i asked for the Chinese family who own it to contact me because it was brand new and really fed up, spending a whole day off with rebuilding this...they never called

if you insist on getting one go ahead but when your screwed over your on your own and you better be handy. And if you get one run it for 1-2 hours per month inside

good luck
