Tips on How to Fix/Adjust Air Arms S200 Magazine

I finally got my S200 10shot magazine kit to work, so I figured I would give some tips to anyone out there who is having similar issues. This is my first advice post, so forgive me for any of its shortcomings. First off, let me say that I purchased the AA S200 retro 10shot kit from a friend (still "new" in the box), and after installation I quickly realized that my bolt had become rough to cycle and I was going through bolt o-rings like crazy. So I went through the forums, tried the suggestions, and had almost given up; when suddenly I managed to get the magazine operational. The magazine works phenomenal: smooth/reliable cycling, no o-ring wear, and makes extended shooting sessions much more enjoyable.

Quick Tips
- the AA S200 .177 bolt o-ring is 1mmx3mm; I suggest buying a ton from the O-Ring Store (they're dirt cheap). Nitrile or Buna-N is what I believe is typically used.
-When inserting the magazine, you must lightly push the magazine in while cycling the bolt for the first round, to ensure the magazine is aligned. You only need to do this for the first round.

-Just to be thorough I'll say it- make sure your rifle is safe: unloaded, and air tank removed
-First examine the magazine; checking for any rough edges or burrs around the pellet holes. Sand down, and polish any rough spots. *Polishing up pellet holes will likely make the system run smoother regardless of whether this is the source of any issues
-If your magazine previously worked, but is now tearing orings- the system might just be dry; try lubricating the bolt, bolt oring, magazine oring, and pellet holes in cylinder. I used a silicone based lubricant (silicone liquid wrench) since it doesn't gunk up and lubricates orings without damaging them. Lubricate regardless of whether the system worked before though, it likely will benefit from it.
-If this does not work then you should try to remove the whole system from the receiver. Now insert an empty magazine into the system, and cycle the cylinder over one shot. Look through the back of the system (there will be a hole for the bolt to go through) and see whether the holes are aligned. If not, there is a small allen screw on the underside of the magazine system that can be used to adjust the cylinder position. Be careful, this screw is VERY sensitive, and any changes should be written down so you don't loose your original location.
-I adjusted my screw while looking at the back of the system, in order to watch the holes get as closely aligned as possible
-Try rotating the magazine to see whether the other holes are aligned. They should all be roughly in the same position, except for the first round; which is only properly aligned with the addition of slight pressure on the magazine
-Now reinstall the magazine system on the receiver. Make sure that the barrel doesn't protrude into the system and snag the magazine. If it does then slight pressure might have to be applied to the magazine system while tightening to keep it straight. Make sure that you do not over tighten the clamping system, otherwise it could misalign the system.
-You can try to run the system now, but if it still doesnt work, or if you just want it to run as smooth as possible then continue.
-Remove your stock, and your bolt oring. Insert magazine into system and cycle the cylinder five times. If you look from the rear, on the right side, you should see the cutout on the magazine that allows it to slide into place. Now push the bolt forward slowly while watching the cutout. You will likely see the magazine move slightly as the bolt moves forward.
-Now keep cycling the cylinder back so you can see the magazine cutout, while pushing the bolt forward. Noting the magazine movement. Adjust the small allen screw on the underside of the magazine system until the magazine barely moves while cycling the bolt. This position should also be smoothest cycle for the bolt, as it is not hitting the edge of the magazine to align it. This will be as close of an alignment as you can easily get (at least that I know of).
-Now reinstall your oring (remember to have it, and the magazine lubricated!!!), and try to cycle the bolt through the magazine (remember to slightly press magazine in for the first round).
-You might have to give small adjustments to the allen screw in the magazine system, to get it as smooth as possible.
-If the magazine is properly aligned, the bolt should cycle smoothly (however it will not be as smooth as in the single shot configuration)
-I have found that periodically my bolt will not want to go all the way forward, or turn down. If this occurs pull the bolt back slightly (but not enough to cycle the magazine), and slowly push forward again. Forcing it can damage the bolt oring.
-Reinstall the stock, you're good to go.
