Tiapan Veteran?

I have a “Shorty” & have not really put it through it’s proper paces yet. It’s very accurate indeed. I’m not quite sure the bullpup format is for me. But, I have not decided yet. It’s in .22 and gets a lot of shots per fill. My favorite feature has to be the anti double loading. I will write up on it when I can. 

I have a shorty in 22 also, tuned it to 825 fps from muzzle and am getting great accuracy with JSB 18.13, 42 shots per fill. As for the popularity of the Taipan Veteran, not much here as manufacturer does not promote their product here but lots of info on other forums. As for anti double loading feature...its awesome I can de-cock the gun pick it up a few days latter with no worries. Also has 20 MOA rail on top.

I was told by Motorhead get a taipan when I was asking him about the wildcat, well I bought the cat .25 and although I love it I saw a used mutant .22 in our local Craigslist and got it, he was right, superb accuracy and trigger, I don't need any more guns but I have been seriously looking at getting a vet .25.

I have a .22 compact veteran and I love this gun. Everything everyone said is true and it is also very quiet. I just got a cricket and its amazing but the taipan just feels better.

They are pretty amazing guns for sure! I think the bullpup to beat especially for the price!

Yep agree my buddy told me about the taipan
at first I thought it was ugly but now it’s my best gun . Sold my wildcat Fx , going to sell my crown blue .30 .

Can the veteran be tuned to shoot JSB 33.9 grain pellets around 890-910fps ? How is the accuracy for that pellet?

Is that in .22 or .25? I took 3 shots with the .22s just to see. Results below

I also have a Veteral short in .22 and it has been my primary hunting gun for the past year. Accuracy is excellent and it is very well engineered. Mine is setup to shoot at about 23-24fpe and I get 40-45 shots on a fill. Mine has a sling and it is much easier to carry all day in the field than my Mrod.

Veteran is such an underrated gun. I wish it got a lot more attention than it does because it certainly deserves it. I’ve had a 25 standard for over a year now and it’s unbelievable. But I do think it’s a weird looking gun. I’m redoing my stock to make it look kind of like a wildcat. Don’t tell anyone...

I´m seriously considering on buy a Taipan Veteran in .25 but, apparently the standard version is out of stock everywhere!!!! Anyone knows when it will be on stock again?????

I was asking about .25 mainly because I have not heard of any gun(yet) that shoots the .22 beasts lights out at 75-100 yards when pushing them around 900 fps+. What distance were you shooting intenseaty22?

I am limited to 30 yards, for now. I asked because I rather not assume anything ever. I think that if someone were to tune their rig just right, they may could get good results with the .22s

There are a couple guns I know of that will shoot the .25 34gr very well. The Cricket and the Edgun, both I believe with added plenum. 

some brands let their products speak for themselves, other brands pay for publicity.....i have .22 veteran short... its a very good bullpup.... accurate, reliable, built like a tank... it fils very solid... regulator works very good.... the anti double feed mechanism is unique....i am planning to sale my short and to buy the standard one... i though it was going to be a no more than 50 meters rifle... and i was impressed.... i have made shots at 90-95 meters bringing down pigeons like a rock....i am excited about what i could do with the standard!!!

has mentioned how much these Tiapan Veterans go for? Just curious.They sound like a nice Pup
All of you are comparing them to some very nice PCPs.
