Thoughts on V10

I've looked at those as well but haven't bought one. I believe (could be wrong) that the cylinder/valve may be basically the same as the P17 but apparently the stock trigger mechanism provides a good bit of adjustment on the V10. I have several P17's-very inexpensive, generally very accurate, and they have triggers that are very good stock and can be made excellent with 2 stage adjustment pretty easy to add. The P17 is usually available around $40 or less. Might try one to see if such shooting is your thing. The ergonomics on the V10 would apparently be very much "competition pistol" like and a P17 wouldn't provide that.

I have many SSP pistols P17-P40-P2-HW75,Gamo Compact { early } V10 without the rear trough the grip adjustment screw - IZH 46m-FAS 6004

if you take the Compact , HW75 and the FAs and compare them the Compact would be rated last by a small amount, the FAS and the 75 are fairly close in the trigger department

so let talk my Compact, I bought it for 100.00 bucks because someone screwed the grips up and no one bid on it

my point is I would never would have bought a new one for the going price of around 219-230 at the time at 150-160 maybe

the trigger on the Compact has no adjustment but you can put a piece of something to fill the gap in the horseshoe area where the trigger starts it push, what it does is take up the trigger take up

if I had the money I would buy the Weihrauch HW 75 or for a little less the FAS 6004

of course a Zoraki Hp-01 ultra in some form, being who name is on it

but that just some info and a few opinions

To add to the above, the Webley Alecto (same as Zoraki HP-01) has ergonomics a bit more like a"target" pistol. It can provide noticeably more power since it can be pumped three times in stock form (one pump providing velocity similar to P17/V10 and additional velocity gained with up to 2 additional pumps). They have good triggers and are accurate and comfortable to shoot (for me, at least). I like them enough to have purchased 3. I believe that the AV V10 will produce relatively low velocities much like the P17.
