That’s a “mirrored” trantula. I put it there to keep the elephants away. Been there +15 years and not one single elephant ever stepped foot in the yard.

Picked up 4 more today. They love sunflower seeds.
Have a look at a well placed head shot. THE BRAIN! I shot a little high and brain matter came out the entrance hole. Lights out!

It’s like Ground hog day ( the movie)I killed 4 more again today. That’s three days in a row with four kills. The first one i shot about 9:30 a.m. a young hawk pounced on as soon as it hit the ground and ended up flying off with it. What a site to see. He was flaring his wings and blowing up like he had killed it.

Picked up another 4 yesterday. They just keep coming. All were females. 3 had brown fur / pelt.

It’s crazy. I put a feeder up to keep them away from my figs. I’m not there every day so the feeder runs out. They constantly check the feeder. I will arrive and fill the feeder. Not too long after they travel to the feeder. They must come via chain link fence to the utility pole or via wire ( cable tv) connected to the pole. They ignore the back door cracking open. Too late, JSB in flight.
