This might make you smile

I came across this post I did earlier this year on another forum. To put it in context, I service, tune and make parts for Theoben rapids and RAW airguns, I also make very effective shrouds and moderators, the gun in question was a uk legal limit airgun, which are not loud to begin with.

For any of you old fellas out there who have spent ages looking for a pair of glasses then realising you have been wearing them all the time, you will know how easy it is to do something like this.

Man! Don’t get me started on this subject!!

That was very entertaining, but not funny as I am sorry about your hearing issues.

I think I have started down that road, looking at 50 in 10 days. Not horrible, but noticeable. The hardest thing I think is being dismissed by my kids, as I did my parents, when giving them (wait for it....) sound advice.

That's hilarious! I'll be 60 in little over a month and my hearing, although still quite good, is very sensitive to sounds like bells or whistles. My eye sight is deteriorating and my problem is I forget to put my contacts in or wear my glasses. I drove to my hunting spot the other day and I could hear a squirrel chattering, but couldn't locate it. When i raised the scope to my eye, the reticle was out of focus and I realized I hadn't put my contacts in. DOH!

I can relate. Spent an hour or two mounting a scope and getting the right eye relief, leveling the crosshairs and making sure the elevation was aligned to the bore. Messed with tightening the ring screws to keep everything just right. Then discovered I had mounted a different scope than I meant to mount! Oh well, took it off and started the fun all over again.
