This just in from JSAR for you M-rod types (like me) - Aluminum Tubes Coming!

I finally got a response to the multiple e-mails and voice messages I've left with them re: " . . . rumor has it that you guys are going to be doing a run of aluminum tubes soon . . . y/n?"

I just got an e-mail from someone named Jacob telling me that they are running M-Rod aluminum tubes next week. If you have been looking for one or want one - get you're orders in now!

. . . in the meantime I'm mumbling to myself - " . . . figures. I just went ahead and ordered up some 2024T3 tubing . . . " ( 3' piece of it ) as I know a guy who owns a machine shop with the right equipment to make one for me. We'll see if it comes out a wash co$t wise. ( my custom built one vs. buying one from JSAR )

I ordered a aluminum tube for my Marauder (Back Ordered) from JSAR last August and got the run around from both Jacob and Travis. I was told by Jacob in November he had "one left with my name on it" because he thought all the orders had been fulfilled, not, never happened. Finally in December PayPal gave my money back.

I totally get the manufacturing and machining world, been there. Just disappointed.

This is great news! I have had one on order for a couple of months. Now I've got to find an MDS hammer, asap! If not JSAR where/who currently is selling MDS hammers right now? I have a Hill 30 gram aluminum hammer but I guess they won't work either, probably due to galling.

I was told by Jacob that the Hill LW hammers would qualify as a compatible choice.

Last year I built a 4" longer aluminum reservoir for about $35. A friend did some of the machining and I Cerakote'd it. I'm running dual gauges, regulator, bored valve, larger TP, light valve spring and I machined a 40g? Nylon hammer and it's AWESOME!. Even with the 4" extra length it's still nearly 1.5# lighter than the stock steel reservoir. I've tuned it for about 1850# regulated pressure and with a 3200# fill and 18.1g JSB at 865fps I'm getting about 70 shots.

If you have the ability to build your own I'd say go for it.

@doug-t - whoa. That thing sounds pretty wicked! My tube showed up yesterday - taking it to the shop on Monday (along with OEM steel one that they can use for reference / get dimensioning off of) to get it machined, drilled, tapped, etc .... like you I'm going to add a little extra length to it too.

For the rest of you - per @bearair and @fuzzygrub above, David ([email protected]) is in fact making the mds hammers, on pretty much any weight you want. $40 shipped. I just ordered a 30g one - same weight as the highly recommended Tim Hill one. I asked David if ok with him to let ya'll know and he's ok with it. ( me to him " ... do you mind a potential surge in requests?" )

Be sure and do a follow up post after you receive your order.

Those of us that who already deal with Rocker1 know what what I'm talking about😉

He's the absolute best...

@kkarmical / @pumacarl (and anyone else) - per request a follow up on transaction with Rocker1 (David). Just like Puma above ! Not only was communication and transaction really good with him but he also threw in an extra bit of stuff too. I wrote back and asked if mistakenly sent - I'd send the extra back to him and he was like " .... nah - part was blemished and I thought you might be able to use it .... " 😎 ( it's an internal part that can't be seen anyway .... but hey ) Cool dude / good guy to work with. I'd give him a "highly recommended " if we were an Ebay like place.
