I had a .25 cal 700mm stx barrel ordered for my impact and was very apprehensive if i was doing the right thing as it was 450.00 bucks and was it actually worth it? Well the gun is a (shooter) my average group at 58yrds is (about) 1/2 inch ctc. This is the group that made me hold off on that order. By the way my back yard is about 70yrds fence to fence so 58yrds is where i have my range set up. (5) shots 58yrds 34gr jsb mk2s 850fps

Sounds like the 700 mm STX would only benefit you if you want to shoot longer distances or use different pellets.

From what I understand, longer barrels are not necessarily more accurate, but allow more efficiency on air usage. Longer barrel gives smaller amounts of air more time to push the pellet to full speed.

Really have 2 points to look at here. Firstly an outstanding group at 50m. Pellet on pellet it simply couldn’t be better. Great shooting Sunny!
Second point ‘does great accuracy at 50m mean the pellet will remain that stable and give similar accuracy at 100y and beyond?

Once again id like to thank you all for you kind words. Michael,that's a good question about the longer distances. I really dont enjoy the local outdoor ranges with all the powder burrners its to noisy and the range is hot/ the range is cold etc kinda takes the fun out of it for me. I have a friend with property about 5 hrs north of me. We (his sister and I) go up for a couple days and hang out eat drink and have bonfires generally chill out and party. He has a nice range about 150yrds ill be able to try some longer ranges and see what happens later this summer .
