This is an Airgun/Hunter ethics story about a buddy of mine and his 10-year-old.

"Buddy" was cooking steaks on the barbecue when "Lad" brought a lizard over to show
what he had shot with his pellet gun down by the garden.
Buddy replies lizards eat bugs down by the garden there. Probably don't need to shoot them.
But since you have, we eat what we shoot around here so grab that foil and it'll be done same
time as the steaks. So as the steaks are cooking buddy makes numerous comments about oh boy
does that smell good. Look at how puffed up the foil is getting. Lizards almost done,
and other various comments while cooking.
Finally the foil is opened and there you go lad. So now lad finally speaks up.
"Please don't make me eat the lizard. I promise I won't shoot Lizards anymore."
So buddy has him wrap up the lizard and put it in the trashcan so they can go eat steak.
Now about one month later buddy tells lad the ground squirrels are taking over
down on the lower property. Those bushytailed rats got to go!
Grab your pellet gun were're going to go shoot some squirrels.
Reluctantly lad asks do I have to?
Buddy replies don't you want to go shoot squirrels?
Lad answers, No it's not that.
I don't think I want to eat those bushytailed rats.
So buddy assured him that they were pests like a mouse in the house,
and that they don't have to eat them.

I just thought this was a funny story about the different ways we learn things.....
