This freakin wind!!!

I debated selling my Taipan standard CZ when I got my FX shooting 18’s around the same speed. The FX is just a nicer offhand shooting gun. I got my Taipan out to shoot some farewell groups and realized I can’t part with this gun. It’s a shooting machine. Since the FX is staying a pellet volume shooting gun, I decided to see if I can get the Taipan to falter with slugs. I upped the reg to 140b and it seems to like slugs. With bullpups, because everything is going on right by your ear, you can tell when you really start leaning on a gun for power. The Taipan with the reg up to 140b and a Talon Tunes hammer spring that is as stiff as a truck spring, it is still a peaceful gun. I have owned a lot of guns, if you can accept the ergonomics of the Taipan, I believe it’s the best airgun made.

The Veteran will be shooting where you aim after your FX is in the junk pile. You have a shooter's gun, and a tinkerer's gun. Nothing wrong with either, take your choice, or enjoy both.
