Thinking of starting postal matches?

Maybe later today w/poly shooting monster’s? Wind is picking up now!, also maybe storms later?, cherry picking a little shot these early today no wind whatsoever- no boil- nothing! Dew starting to burn off now also...

Only 5- shots! reread absolutely no conditions... but I’m noticing a trend 2- points of impact, that’s why I changed Scopes to known (proven) scope? Might get 2 in same hole then 2 in different area then 1- back to original poi?, this combo of shots can vari., 3-2, 1-4 etc. you can see that in my 1st group 4- in .256 - 2- in same hole?, maybe I’m not sorting pellets well enough?

Ok Chas, promised some 13.4’s @ 50yds from my poly TM @ about 806-810fps, not pretty, actually I’m happy BUT..., can’t wrap my head around these unexplainable flyers? As u can see one in every group... I have to say it’s my pellet sorting skills( or lack of! ) it’s not conditions, velocity fluctuations, scope or me... I say that with all honesty, cause I shot some control groups w/10.3’s no flyers?

Ya, it’s a little discouraging, your flyers can barely be called that!. Mine are very pronounced & seem to be very close to same POI from group to group? Your groups are excellent!, and I aspire to reach that level of shooting skill and knowledge of ones equipment, I’ll keep at it...

I thought this also?, but with 10.3’ haven’t seen this extreme, even @ 50yds! I have resisted this as none of my RAW guns are ( had them all out of stocks) bedded from factory, I tried different shooting rests bag positions etc.( for isolating Harmonics- vibs.) this can help bring this to light in some center fires I’ve worked with & have bedded many of these! Just don’t want to go down that road unless absolutely necessary!

Groups for September! ( I know it’s early but had a good opportunity to shoot this morning + will be busy W/work most of the month ) one is 5- shots left group, Right group is 10-shots with 1 DAMN flyer! This is 52yds, 10.3 jsb’s! 5=.191 ,10=.455, 9=.207

Thanks Chas, busy month!( outages always planned for fall in electrical generating facilities!) will be shooting in a 25m USARB event Sat. Though! Been experimenting with 10.3’s again?, might give them a try in one of the relays, if not doing well with the 13.4’s? Depends on some of the conditions experienced? Weather looks ominous for Wkend...

Good luck Chas!, I’ll keep you posted, hopefully weather holds I really want to shoot. The 10.3’s shoot very accurately from my gun but I don’t think I would really have the confidence to try them either, my ability to read the conditions is still being acquired?, those lighter pellets sure aren’t forgiving! I think the head- tail winds give me the most trouble right now? My range at home I deal with mainly a crosswind scenario!

Match 1, 738-8x, Match 2, 732-12x Did not shoot as good as I should of!, impatience & not reading conditions well... simple, The nutt behind the butt! not doing his job & let his equipment down..., hope you did better?
