Surprised that so many members on this forum use an ANTI GUN contributor like Pay Pal for doing business.

I called PayPal a couple of years ago to be clear if an AIR Gun would be covered under their Goods and Services. ( it says Firearms are Not ) Then I explained I get that, But this is a Gun and can be sold on Ebay. My answer was then I will be covered. One time a paid $15 for the insurance on a $375 airgun. The deal was a very good one. and it was listed on the airgun.net ( aac ) Known for copies of other people gun ad's old ad's from other sites and scams. You don't need to sign up as a member on that site.

Also the PayPal agent added this about being covered : Use a Credit Card , not a debt or your bank account funds. Agent said you could dispute the charge because you never received your item and where scammed. I would check with my Card Company first just to be sure. You would need to use an online calculator to pay the added card fees so to seller receives the net price.

I have been very happy with my CU's Visa Card, they have had my back on a couple of bad transactions over the years, but when I had a bad E-bay transaction and asked for their help, they said because I used PP I had to work with them and would not get involved. YMMV?

Str8tshooter : It looks like you used Ebay and paid through PayPal ( which is a bank in itself founder Elon Musk ) ( I was only able to use a CC as payment the last couple of years if I had no PP balance funds ) What the PP agent said to me was. Pay for an item and clicked the Linked to PP account radio button that is USE my Credit card I have linked, Not PayPal balance or linked Bank account, or a listed Debt card. for Friends and Family / Gift transfer. I have a credit card linked to my PayPal and when I buy a shipping label it is charged to the card. ( I get 2% back ) And I think I could Dispute any ripoff sale that took my money by opening a charge dispute for the exact amount and reason. Charged to the card. Not to PP in any way. Here is a true example: Rented online through Booking.Com a per paid apartment for 7 days in Edinburgh Scotland in 2018. The place was a total SH Dump. So bad we booked and paid for with the same Chase card ( proof ) another place a condo type which was beautiful compared to the first one. 1 month later we returned to Texas, Called Chase Bank explain what happened and they refunded 5 days rent of the 7 paid for through Bookings.com . What we asked for in the dispute. The renter was not given a choice to respond. ( We had pictures if needed ) But none were needed. Like I said call card bank and enquirer before you pay to be sure.
