What everyone should do for WTB is live Facetime video chat to inspect the item, if they refuse and tell you they don't have Facetime ask them to get the app or what phone they have before requesting a facetime to lock in there answer

I know we've bumped heads in the past but my offer still stands to handle things like spam and vetting new members for classified access. I won't deal with anything other than the grunt work and leave everything else to the rest of the staff. I have 12 years experience as a super mod on another forum and I offer this service for free.

I thought AN implemented a new security system in the revamp browser after months of work?

I sell corals online and will never pay with PayPal friends and family. I would even pay extra to cover the fees to reassure you won’t get scammed.

I don't and won't use FB, and would simply pass if a requirement.

My wife told me Facetime is not a part of FB and is on my IPhone, so yes, it's a great idea.

first dead giveaway should have been thinking you were getting a sniper xr for $800...whats the good ole saying? "iif it sounds to good to be true then it probably is"

I am surprised at the amount of sellers requesting to use Friends and Family for payment in the classifieds. I understand there are fees involved but that should just be included in the price. Way to risky to send over $1000 to a seller with no protections.

Just an FYI for those that don't know.... Using F&F when it's not, can get your PayPal account closed, and tie up your money for a month.

So will asking for "plus X% (or $x) to cover fees". Good way to loose the privilege and convenience.

I don't get why people don't want to pay for a service they use.

I'm new to AGN, I was just reading and learning until I saw an ad for a Leishy Classic that I wanted. I joined that day and was able to contact BH and successfully bought the gun. This was quite a while back. I just bought another Leishy from Devil Andy, it arrived at the PO today and is waiting for me to pick it up. Before I made a deal with Andy, who is a great guy and we have talked several times about various guns, I made a deal with another seller for a Leishy, the ad said F&F or pay the fees. He had multiple pages of great reviews, but I offered to pay the fees. Then he refused to take Goods and Services because of new tax regulations. I let the sale go and instead dug up Andy's older post and bought his gun.

I think new tax regulations cause lots of sellers to avoid Goods and Services. I need to post and not be so shy, I want to be able to participate, the classifieds are a great place to browse and daydream.

It will be interesting to see what happens with regulations. Hard to imagine being taxed on a sale where you lost money from the original purchase price. It might just be a hassle to explain on your tax return.

Just list it as a non deductible loss.

Yeah, very sorry to hear that, I posted that he was a scammer a few weeks ago. He burned me on a deal also.

I whole heartily absolutely HATE THIEVES!!! Sorry this happend to you. People just plain suck. I know I'm newer here as I just got into airgunning about year an a half ago. But I jumped into the rabbit hole with both feet. I have bought everything except my last 2 additions from AGN. I've also sold a few things here with no issues. But my buyers requested picture of myself with said item, and or the item with names dates and phone numbers to proove I had the said items. But one thing that bothers me just a little. No one leaves me feed back So my accuracy score never goes up. And all transaction went super smooth.. But oh well. Still not a big deal.
