Thermal Scope vs. Nitesite Scope

To be frank I dont think you'll find a Thermal imager THAT IS ANY GOOD below approx $1800. The retail prices for these digital imagers are slowly coming down but...

I'm also not sure that Thermal is a good idea for a RIFLE SCOPE (Spotter etc, yes - shooting NO). It's about what you can & cannot see with a thermal unit - warm 'animals', yes, but usually not very clearly, which should be important, leaves, branches and stone usually dont show well - that's an open invitation to ricochet ... IMO!

What about getting the nite site spotter? It would be a lot less then getting the thermal imaging scope

I am going to get a camcorder off Amazon to use as a scanner of sorts. It's like 117 bucks. Some off brand name, search Night Vision Camcorders...but if it can see out to 50 yards or with another aux IR light it may work just fine. Still not sure where is the best place to get a NiteSight Venom/Viper/Wolf scope.
