The winner of SiMWA Independence Day 2019 is...

I am very surprised to be the winner. I must say that I truly appreciate Michael and Steve for what they do to honor us. My memory of returning home from Nam is summed up in two word I heard in the LA airport "baby killer". Thanks Michael and Steve for your effort to make all of us from EMTs, policemen, firemen, all armed forces and men of service you have included in these give aways feel a sense of value and worth. Thanks to ALL ----- Some gave all, All gave some, it is still true today on the street and on the battle line be it our border or the middle east. Michael I'm having trouble down loading the form from the email

Those were hard times GBGUNNER and we appreciate you & the others who gave so much. Enjoy this new toy and let it be a symbol of our gratefulness.

Steve

Steve, you and Michael are great guys to do all that you accomplish each week. Michael has answered my questions promptly some times the same day. I've really enjoyed reading the congratulations everyone has written. And not to criticize you and everyone else but I believe in safety first and I always cringe when I see "play and toy" in the same sentence as gun. I know how it's meant and lots of people say it. I love to shoot and plink and hunt too. I began with daisy guns, moved up to .22 and larger PB's and now it's springers and PCP's. I remember the fella that had the guts to warn others about the hazards of having an accident with a PCP when he showed us the pictures of his wounded finger. I make my self think and remember that even a red rider has driven a bb into a brain through the soft tissue of an eye and ended a life. I apologize to you all for reminding you of this. But before I retired I help pick up 3 men off the floor for simple mistakes or "Horse play" only one died. At the end of those particular days the feeling of having all my energy drained and joy of life sucked out of me for losing or nearly losing those friends really brings a guy down. We are all responsible guys, honorable men. You have to be human to make a mistake, No human being is perfect. But always be aware when you pick up your air gun what it is capable of. Enjoy your shooting especially those of you who get to experience the joy of plinking with your kids. I want you and them to always have good memories of those times. So now that I've ruined your day I apologize to you all.
