The Tyro Show!

Some of my favorite airguns, I love the classic springers and these are among the most unique and stylish to me. These are factory offered Tyroleans no aftermarket examples.

Beeman HW55 with heavy barrel weight, Beeman R1 .177 fully engraved, Beeman R1 .20, Beeman HW97, Walther LG55. Walther LGV, FWB 300S, HW77, FWB 150 with rare stock weight & Diana 60.

Wow, that is one awesome group! Must be one of the planet's largest "T" convocations in captivity. Hard to compete with that, LOL, but just for grins here's three iterations of my personal favorite Tyrolean, the Weihrauch HW 55.

Serial 373xx, from 1956. Finger-groove fore end, red buttplate, very early Rekord trigger. Forged cocking links and an OEM barrel sleeve, quite a heavy rifle.

Serial 3132xx, 1969. Classic 55T with large "square" checkered areas and pretty blonde European walnut.

Serial 12137xx, 1991. One of the last generation of this gun, with Beeman markings (maybe not as rare as the Doc claims? Who knows...). Interesting dark stain and smaller "W" style checkered area.

These guns are so pretty, with lots of hand work in the wood. If you look closely you can see that the lines are subtly different on each one, especially around the edges of the cheekpiece.

does anyone know how many HW77 tyro Rifles Beeman sold ? I have heard that only 25 HW55T were sold by Beeman but I think that story is for the HW77T . I had thought the Beeman imported HW77 with tyrolean stock was less than 25 he ever had imported. Been awhile since the glory days of fine made springers but I have several that were put away and still in mint/as new condition. One of which is a mint perfect underleaver HW77 tyro Santa Rosa/Beeman. Thanx for your time. Hope the thread isn't too old to get responce, D

Not to steal any thunder from the stellar display above, but YES they did make lefty Tyros.
FWB 300 not an S.
Purchased from Don R. At the Midwest Airgun show in Columbus Ohio. Came in the FWB styrofoam shipping insert with the doodads included.
Purchase received a nod of approval from Mr. Mike Driskill, so I am pretty sure that I got a good one Lol.
Very very little use on the rifle when purchased, but OEM seals were toast. Replaced seals with Macarri units, left all else alone.

Apologies for the short sidetrack Mike, at least I stayed on topic. ;)
