The Priest - PCP similar to Impact fom Slovenia

I'm really tempted as well and can have it in hands in just over 30 days (2-3 days shipping to me) but I'm not in the mood for fixing after the ordeal with the last take down rifle purchase!

Someone needs to get this in Ernest'S hands ... then maybe I'll decide.

But I'm still very tempted ... this could be a very good platform for FT and HFT.

Here's an email I received this morning or last night.

Dear Tim,

Please let them know that we already have parts from serial production. Rifle, which Gregor has is from serial production and is not a prototype. Few prototypes were made last year. Hand sketch was drawn before Impact, not really important since internal parts and design is not even close to Impact. We are also not one man band.

Unfortunately the delay is mainly because of the papers, unfortunately it takes around 30 to 60 days to get an export license. So final touches will be made way before we get the license.

PS. We have not got any email mentioning a guy called Ernest...

Not saying this is not true (I have no inside info) but.... doesn't it contradict what the last communication said about them wanting to get the quality right?

Are they saying that they have factory or warehouse full of finished product boxed up and ready to go? It would be great if they did.

"ksfastman"As with most thing's, time will tell,,,I'm somewhat disheartened they didn't have their export licensing in place.
Can't argue with that.

It sounds like the sort of thing that could get stuck in red tape for a while but business in that part of the world is a complete mystery to me. Urban legend is that a batch of Taipan Mutants had "made in America" or "made in Germany" printed on them so the manufacturer could avoid such red tape (or maybe it was a tax avoidance thing or just a myth).

"RickM"And so the BS starts! thanks to are current regime things aren't so easy to import in this country. Look what happened to the Drozd Blackbird no longer allowed to be imported. Try and ruin this like they did to the Mutant! What ever!
The Drozd is a Russian gun. Anything Russian is banned, the IZH line being no different. Slovenia isn't part of Russia anymore, at least for now.

Here is an email I received this morning. They are doing a good job of communicating.

Tim,

Unfortunately things do not go as they do in USA... We need to place an export license for each order. So we couldnt not have had export license in order until an actual company placed an order. So once RL placed an order (previous week), we sent request for export license to our government... Unfortunately this is how our law dictates...

To me everything seems reasonable as far as what RTI is communicating. Waiting is much less painful if your expectations are managed properly by the company you are buying from. I was not as content with the company nor the importer when I was waiting for my FX Impact...expectations were managed very poorly...as if being taken for granted.. reminding me of Comcast or Cox cable. So I am glad that there is another innovative rifle (potentially quality-made) coming to the market and hopefully bringing expectations and prices back down the earth. And (at least in principle) giving a run for their money of the elite/establishment brands.

And let's not kid ourselves, our State Dept and Commerce Dept aren't probably much better as far as processing export/import permits...
